Rain World Tour - Malaysia - 27 Jan 2007

Rain World Tour Malaysia date has also been released. It will be held at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur on Jan 27, 2007. There was a spelling error on rainworldtour.com website. It should be Bukit Jalil Stadium, and not Pukit Jaril Stadium. Have send them a note hopefully they will rectify the typo soon.
This is the seating plan in Bukit Jalil Stadium. It packs a whooping 87,411 concert goers if all sides are openned.

Ticket pricing is at RM752, RM502, RM402, RM302, RM202, RM132 and RM82, roughly US$20 to US$200 price range. Doesnt look that expensive compared to Singapore price hehe… Anyway, the ticket will go on sale starting December 7 which is… 2 DAYS FROM NOW! Will post a follow up once I have more details where you can place order for Rain World Tour Malaysia.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Organisers have decided to relocate the concert venue to STADIUM MERDEKA,Kuala Lumpur. The Concert date is UNCHANGED.
Stadium Merdeka is located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
So, public transportations are not a problem in order to get to the venue.

Hi Shawn
I am really concerned about the status of the Rain concert in KL.
I have already paid and reserved my tickets but up to now there is no news on when the tickets are going to be issued or what the seating arrangement will be like.
I also had a rude shock when I went to Absolute Entertainment’s website yesterday and the venue was stated as Stadium Merdeka.
Is the concert definitely on? When can I collect my tickets?
Thanks!
yhsmom / December 19th, 2006, 1:15 am / #
I would like to know who are the sponsor for this concert. Thank you Shawn.
Vian / December 19th, 2006, 6:27 am / #
Dear YHSMOM,
The Concert will definitely be held at National Stadium Bukit Jalil.
Initially there were some glitches with the venue, but it has been resolved.
We understand many fans were worried about this concert and we apologise again.
Absolute’s personnel will contact you once they are ready to be shipped out to customers.
Thank you and regards.

The seating plan for Msia concert are specially designed to have a closer view to the stage.

You can always call to the phone numbers stated on the previous message to enquire or purchase the tickets as these tickets are already on sale. Unless if you are in KL, kindly visit our booth at Sg Wang Plaza to purchase these tickets.
Dear Fiqah,
All tickets range have their own numbered seats except for RM 82 and RM 102. Kindly be informed that tickets are available and on sale now.
Thank you and regards.

Hi all,
Would like to apologise again.
Have brought this matter up and the organisers would allow those who have bought RM 752 whom are interested to upgrade their tickets to RM 1002 will be allowed to do so.
All you should do is to contact 03 6201 8368 or come to the venue on the concert day to pay additional RM 250.00 for every RM 752 ticket upgrade to RM 1002.
On top of that, EACH TICKET CHANGES (from RM 752 to RM 1002) will be charged RM 10.00.
Also bear in mind that Pit Zone are only meant for STANDING.
Hopefully, this coming concert at Stadium Putra (Indoor) will bring more comfort and greater concert atmosphere to every fans.
I am trying to find the way to upload the Press Release of the venue change and seating plan for everyone’s perusal.
Apologies for the inconveniences caused and thank you for your endless support.

Rain Concert in Kuala Lumpur moved to Putra Indoor Stadium.
Rain’s Coming World Tour Kuala Lumpur 2007 concert organiser, CMG Absolute Entertainment made an official announcement today to change the venue of the concert from Stadium Nasional to Stadium Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil. The date and time of the concert remain unchanged and will be held as schedule on Saturday, 27th January 2007 at 8 p.m.
The reason for the change of venue is mainly because there were extra sets of lighting equipment and LED screens being added onto the stage to enhance the show, making the total weight of the stage and equipments now stand at more than 100 tonnes. Upon consultation with engineers and with the advice from the stadium authorities, the concert organiser had decided to move the concert to Putra Indoor Stadium to avoid making damages to the track and field of the Stadium Nasional.
The concert organiser reassure the customers that all tickets sold prior to the change in venue are still valid and the tickets holders will have the same seat number as printed on their tickets in the new venue - Putra Indoor Stadium which is just next to the original stadium.
Another addition to the concert is a standing area in the middle of the stage called the Pit Zone. The Pit Zone was created to give Rain’s fans an opportunity to be really close to the star during his performance. Tickets to the Pit Zone is priced at RM1,000 and number of ticket to this zone is very limited.
Hotlink Customers can redeem Pit Zone tickets for FREE using 1,000 Hotlink Points. All they have to do is key in and send to 27710. This redemption is limited to the first 10 Hotlink customers only.
The concert organiser also announced that the RM80, RM130, RM200 and RM300 tickets are now sold out and the remaining tickets priced at RM400, RM500 and RM750 are limited. Those who do not want to miss this golden opportunity to see Rain live in action are urged to buy their tickets quickly.
For more information on Rain Concert tickets, please call the ticketing hotlines 03-9173 9066, 03-771 5000 & 03-6201 8368 or visit www.axcess.com.my.
Rain’s Coming World Tour Kuala Lumpur 2007 concert is organized by CMG Absolute Entertainment and presented by Hotlink.

this is so unfair ! how come the sudden change of the seating plan ? i purchased the 202 ticket. and happily got the seats next to 502. . which means i’ll be getting 502’s nice view as well. . . i first heard the sudden change of venue is a rude shock for me . . then i saw the sudden WHOLE CHANGE of seating plan ? now my 202 is shoved at the right hand side. . and the addidional pit zone ?
this is super duper unfair to the fans who bought the tickets b4 the SUDDEN change of seating plans ! including me !! not not not fair !!! i feel like i got cheated ! and im sure fans who got the same case like me , feel the same too . . .
should NOT have published anything b4 the LAST confirmation . .

Dear Eclipse,
I would not be sure if you prefer standing all the way. But Pit Zone offers better interaction between Rain and his fans.
Dear Chienz,
Apologies for the sudden change of venue.
In fact, we have sent out Press Release to major dailies in Malaysia to inform about the changes. As for them to publish our Recent Press Release or not, it is their (media companies) jurisdiction as we have no control.
Also, would really like to stress on 2 points :
a) Putra Stadium (Indoor) definitely offers closer and better view compared to the National Stadium (Outdoor).
b) Putra Stadium (Indoor) provides more comfort to concert goers (in terms of public transport access, weatherproof and air conditioning) than any other venues around Kuala Lumpur.
Therefore, we really hope that you could understand our predicaments when we decided to change the venue. There are just too many negative circumstances if we were to proceed using National Stadium (Outdoor).
We regret the inconveniences caused by taking such a drastic move but we believe this coming Saturday, you will enjoy a more comfortable Rain concert. Once again, we apologise to you.
Thank you and regards.
Cheers.
Shawn Ng / January 23rd, 2007, 2:16 pm / #
Dear Eclipse,
I wouldnt be sure if u’d prefer standing for the whole concert. But Pit Zone (RM 1002 - Standing Only) definitely offers a closer interaction between Rain and his fans.
Dear Chienz,
Apologies for the sudden change of venue.
In fact, we have sent out Press Release (kindly refer to my previous 2 posts above) about the concert venue change to every major dailies and press members. As for them (media) to publish our Press Release, it is upon their jurisdiction and we have no control on that.
Also, would like to stress on 2 points here:
a) Putra Stadium (Indoor) offers a closer view to the stage compared to National Stadium (Outdoor).
b) Putra Stadium (Indoor) also provides better comfort (in terms of public transport access, weather proof and air conditioning) to every concert goers.
We really that hope you could understand our predicament in order to provide a safer and better concert to Rain’s Fans.
We regret on such a last minute change but we honestly think that hosting this concert in Stadium Putra will definitely create a better concert atmosphere.
Thank you and regards.
Cheers.

yeah it is very shocking…but it’s still quite good in the sense of they allowed ppl which purchased the rm752 tickets to upgrade to the pit zone,rm1002. …free standing? isn’t numbered seating much better than free standing,no? anyone have any comment? i do hope the pit zone will be limited to a smaller amount of ppl, the less the better~ besides, rm1002 is a HUGE amount. it’ll be nice without any pushing or whatsoever..so pleaseee not many ppl! =D
ya i agree with chienz, i cant see nor hear any announcement about this sudden change.
eclipse / January 24th, 2007, 3:35 am / #
Yes Chienz!! I have da same feeling likes yours!! But your 202 still better than my 402, at first my 402 is just right after the 752, now there’s pit zone, vvip, 752 and 502 infront of me!! it’s SUPER DUPER UNFAIR!! and i called CMG to complaint yesterday, the stuff who answer the phone call is totally ACTION & RUDE!! I’m going to call newspaper and complaint about this CMG and this stuff name DUNCAN! Besides that, the explaination of changing venue is totally unacceptable!! I am very very very dissapointed towards the organizer!! I felt being cheated!!
cece / January 24th, 2007, 5:45 am / #
when does da concert end…y does 202 one nearer than 404…i gt 404 n i m sittin behind…not fair!!!!
watever / January 24th, 2007, 6:27 am / #
Hi all,
Pit Zone (RM 1002) has a very limited space, which can only accomodate 400 person with ample space to dance and mingle around. So, there are only 400 tickets on sale for Pit Zone.
So, if you are interested in getting a space at the Pit Zone, you can purchase the tickets now by visiting www.axcess.com.my
Thank you and regards.
Cheers.

i have a concern re the pit zone. will the stage be too high for those in pit zone? wouldn’t want to pay so much, in the end only can see rain when he is at the front of the stage. and when he is towards the back of the stage, the pit zone goers will not be able to see him. will that be the case?
btw, isit confirmed he will be staying at hotel nikko?

Shawn, I agree Putra is better as it is indoors & wd give better view… but am concerned abt the newly created pit-zone…will this block the VIP & RM752 views…wdn’t be fair, right…I hv seats W69 & W70..but this must be the old listing…does tt mean there’ll be chaos in the change..do we hv to be there early to find our seats…what time can we alrdy enter ? Dear all,
First of all I m sorry for not replying you guys for the past 4 days.
Was very busy with the preparation.
We did try our best to do some damage control since the seating was converted from the old venue to Stadium Putra. It is impossible to arrange these seats accordingly.
Publicity - they have requested to keep it low profile upon his arrival. Therefore we did not revealed Rain whereabouts for security reasons. We had a Press Conference on Saturday 27th Jan 2007.
Delay - we have to accomodate to some late comers as well as some seating problems (I have to admit this) since there was a long queue at the Arena Area.
Anyway, thanks a million to you guys for making Rain’s concert in Malaysia as the most successful concert (since this concert was a sold out and Rain commented he was overwhelmed by the response in Malaysia) in his World Tour series.
Lastly, I hope that you guys enjoyed the show yesterday night and please accept our (the organisers) sincerest apology for any inconveniences caused. We really did not mean to create troubles to fans but we just want to make sure that Rain comes to Malaysia and entertain us just as what everyone here would love to.
Thank you and regards.

Dear RACHEL, HEEDAY, ROSE, YHSMOM,
Its heartening to know your appreciations. What more can I say? In fact, most of the fans in Malaysia are really understanding enough. How lucky we (at CMG Absolute) are.
Maybe, we were let off the hook by you guys because of Rain’s brilliant performance. Otherwise, I really wonder what would our customers say.
I should say, RAIN’S CONCERT has been the BEST ever concert I’ve watched in Malaysia. Also, it is one of the best concert ever brought in by CMG Absolute.
Guess what, Rain and the entire Korean team had commented that Malaysia’s concert is by far, the best ever concert they had in the entire tour. Rain actually wanted to take off his top but he knew that our government’s regulations do not allow that to happen. (See, he is so respectful to the local rules when some other artistes sometimes does not even care)
Just too bad on some parts of the organising thingy. Promise to rectify and improve to make sure our clients will always support us in the future.
Dear ROSE,
I really appreciate your honest feedback. Don’t worry, it has been always my job to disseminate info, to attend to client’s grouses and to reply to client’s queries and also CMG Absolute’s responsibility to provide good safety measures and convenience to each client in every concerts organised by us.
Too bad, Leehom’s concert is not organised by us. Still, I think I will attend Leehom’s concert this coming March. =b
Dear CECE,
Yeah, Rain and his management team was at Aloha. And I was there for a short while to celebrate with them before I went back to the stadium to supervise the load-out.
Wonder how did u get this info? Hehe…
Thank you and regards.
Cheers.

Seems like everyone of u having diff comments on Rain’s concert. We really feel cheated coz when we bought our tickets at RM 502, we surpposed to be 8th rolls from the stage and only 10 seats away from RM 752. But when the vanue changed, we were at least 40 rolls away from the stage. Even some of them can’t find their seats. The tickets is not cheap, why the arrangement is that poor ? Some fans seating beside us also making hell a lots of complaints. And worst we can’t c well from the flat seating arrangement. We are soooooo disappointed. We feel that our seats r worst than the RM 82. U guys should c the concert from Hong Kong and c the seating arrangement there. They organised well. But so lucky that the concert is great enought to cover all our dissappointment.

Dear JUNE AND ANNE FROM HONG KONG,

Well, same as u i bought the 502 ticket n fortunately i’m at the middle seat.At 1st i was kinda disappointed bout the arrangement but after the concert, i knew everyone was trying hard to gif their best for this concert coz IT’S RAIN 1ST CONCERT HERE IN MALAYSIA. i understand how u feel coz i’m had the same experience with u. But still, RAIN GAF HIS BEST FOR THE CONCERT N FOR HIS BABIES! the stage setting, effects, performance n everything in the concert r especially build for tos go for the concert. It was a really fun concert anyway.I hope everyone enjoy it very much. No worries bout the coming RAIN concert that mayb will organise in MALAYSIA again because i’m sure the organiser will learn from the mistakes n upgrade their system. I’m anticipating and looking forward to watch RAIN in action again in MALAYSIA. RAIN SPIRIT FOREVER!!

Dear SPADE,
Thanks alot for setting up such a wonderful blog/website. Really a good platform to communicate directly especially with Rain’s Fans.
Dear RACHEL, ECLIPSE
I was just lucky to meet some artistes in person because of my job nature. I personally think it is not a big deal meeting artistes in person. But meeting Rain was special because he shows his respect to everyone including a small fry like me.
Hehe, too bad we did not have any pictures at Aloha. Trust me, he is one of the most courteous and polite superstar (i repeat SUPERSTAR) I’ve ever met.
Anyway, he did enjoyed himself that night by listening to some of his favourite R&B and hip-hop tunes.
Dear HEEDAY, STARVALLEY
Great to know that you enjoyed Rain’s Concert in Malaysia. Hope to bring more great artistes like Rain to Malaysia.
Dear JUNE AND ANNE FROM HK,
Sorry for the complications. We certainly hope that this problems wouldn’t mar your next trip or perception about Malaysia.
Just to inform that The Organisers faced many many complications and obstacles when we planned for this concert at the old venue. In fact, we had only 1 week of preparation to move everything into the new venue. So, there are many problems which are inevitable. We regret for the inconveniences caused.
Meanwhile, very glad that you guys from HK and outside Kuala Lumpur made the effort to come to KL to support Rain.
Thank you and regards.

We chosed the seat we wanted but end up at other seat that we really dun like at all. We r surpposed to be so near to Rain but end up to be soooooo faaaaaaaaar. LAUYA ORGANISER !!!!!! We r still verrrrryyyy angrrrrrry !

Hi Shawn,
We know that the organiser really put in effort to do the best. I (June) organised even before and understand what difficulties facing by u. How good u do also hv complaints, consumers’ right ma…. pity u. But this time is a bit too much that the seating plan changed last min. So lucky that both of us enjoyed the concert very much. If not eh……heh, die ah u !!! Anyway, still need to thanx for giving us a chance to meet Rain.
U r rite, this blog is fun that we can accumulate all the Rain’s fans to chat and may be…… we can arrange a group to join Rain’s next concert in Shanghai ? Hanoi ? Japan ? or Bangkok ? Hahaha…..
June and Anne from Hong Kong / January 31st, 2007, 8:52 am / #
Hi Shawn,
After reading all the comments above, we are happy that CMG Absolute Entertainment has done a wonderful job. However, you all did put a lot of stress on us especially after we have booked our tickets in Sungai Wang in December and no words on when we will collect our tickets as the days drew nearer and nearer. My friends and I were wondering whether RAIN’s concert was on until we saw press write-up, newspaper ads, tv ads, buntings that placed at selected MRT poles.
It was a relief for us as we have seen his sensational performance via internet and always envy of Hong Kong/Taiwan/Thailand people to be able to enjoy his first concert. Despite all the hiccups, change of venue, chaotic seating arrangements even though I was not affected at the flat ground but I can see angers on some faces of some of the ticket holders that has put a lot of stress on your ushers (I’m on RM202 seats), WE all truly enjoyed RAIN’s concert.
However, I would like to complain about the sound systems. It was too powerful and the volume was cranked up to the max that I couldn’t pick up RAIN’s singing. Is the sound systems meant for outdoor stadium?? If it is, it is not meant for Indoor stadium and hope you could give feedback to RAIN’s organiser to re-look into their sound systems. My friend and I were kind of disappointed that we couldn’t hear him sing as he has lovely low husky voice. Maybe, we were seated near the speakers.
Well, till today his concert has received very positive reviews from all media and we hope he will come again. He deserved the status as he has worked very hard for it and he is truly a professional and a perfectionist.
Thanks for sharing with us the personality of RAIN (off stage) as we all know that most artists normally put on a “nice” front for their fans. I guess all of us were as “high” as him after his concert as many of us went off for teh tarik (roadside stalls) and not clubbing!!
THANK YOU for bringing RAIN to Malaysia and we can’t wait to buy his dvd concert to watch it again to reminisce his performance.
LML / February 1st, 2007, 5:46 am / #
Dear All,
After reading all your post concert good words for Rain and our Malaysians. I am really proud to be there on the show. Indeed Rain performed very well. I enjoyed myself very well that night. I too have been to so many concerts in Malaysia, Seoul, Japan and China. Off course I like Rain concert very much…….. Thank you very much to all the Malaysian organisers and the sponsors . Good job well done.
jennifer-Malaysia / February 1st, 2007, 11:23 am / #
LML, we were having the same (minor) issue here in Singapore regarding the sound system which seems a tad too powerful for indoor stadium. And the sound engineer seemed to max the speaker volume out until we can hardly picked up Rain’s singing and I was seating way back :/
but nonetheless the best concert ever and hope to see more of it soon
spade / February 1st, 2007, 1:52 pm / #
Dear LML & SPADE,
I wouldn’t be sure if seat-to-speaker distance is a factor. Actually, line-array speakers are suitable to be used at both indoor and outdoor places (Distance : 80 to 100 metres ; Angle/Dimension : 45 to 90 degrees - depending on brands).
At the same time, they did ‘fly’ (hang) the sub speakers as well. So, I guess that is why those seated near to the speakers especially could not hear Rain’s voice due to the heavy bass. Or maybe because each Sound Engineer has different preferences, since they set the bandwith coherence according to their ears. Perhaps they just blast the speakers since they were using the best sound systems (they are using the same sound and lighting specifications wherever they go).
Nonetheless, I will pass your feedback to their Sound Engineers for their perusal.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though I m not a fan of Rain, I respect him because he carries his polite personality very well. But his bodyguards are snobbish and rude.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hopefully, StarM and JYP could release his World Tour Concert Video asap. Heard that it might be released mid-2007 or second half of this year. I wouldn’t really know the exact date of release.
Thank you and regards.
Shawn Ng / February 2nd, 2007, 12:19 am / #
Dear Shawn,
Thanks for the explanation to the sound systems and happy that you will try to pass our feedback to RAIN’s Organiser. Out of curiorsity, why did RAIN and his entire Korean team commented that Malaysia’s concert is by far one of the best?? I can see that his fans in 4 other countries that he had performed were as excited and enthusiastic as us. Maybe, because he doesn’t need to take off his shirt during his performance…ha…ha….Just kidding!!

We hope the next time RAIN comes to Malaysia, he will be able to communicate with us in fluent English and not the stiff English we heard even though his English has improved alot. We hope in his next album, JYP will be able to create some memorable songs for RAIN that the World or Asian countries can associate and remember him. This is because many of my friends who did not attend the concert asked whether did RAIN sing one of the songs featured in the TV series “Full House” and when I told them that he did not sing any of the song in the series, they were surprised. We are so used to hear songs that associate with the TV series where the main actor/singer starred in them like Hong Kong/Taiwan series.
We were pleased that RAIN has brought out other race and all ages (young to middle-aged) to his concert even though none of us except the Korean fans/guests understood what he sang but to enjoy his superb performance.
Thanks for bringing RAIN to Malaysia in conjunction with The Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and we hope RAIN and his team enjoyed their stay here in our beautiful Kuala Lumpur minus the hot humid weather.

DEAR SPADE,
It’s GREAT to be here and exchange experiences with other Rain fans;) Besides I got lots of information regarding to the concert via this blog. Thanks for setting up this very informational and fun blog;)
Dear SHAWN,
It’s great to know that Rain is not an arrogant SUPERSTAR..yeah, thanks the information regarding to the WORLD TOUR CONCERT VIDEO. Hopefully Rain World Tour Msia will be included in that DVD. Can’t wait for it…
I wish I could go to his concert in other places too;) It will be great if all the Msians fans could fly together to other country to see Rain’s next concert;)

Dear LML,
Haha, he could not take off his shirt that’s for sure (over here in Malaysia). I might not know their real reason for saying that to us but can see that Rain and his management were so glad to see the show was a sold-out. (I m not sure about other venues and to be exact KL has sold a total of 10k tickets) Also technically, there wasn’t a single problem occurred during the show. (It is not easy to achieve zero-error show nowadays due to too many gambits and cues implemented by show producers)
They (Koreans) knew that there were too many hiccups in the run-up to the concert in KL. Honestly, I at first, think that we might not fill up the stadium in Malaysia due to the late publicity and venue problems. But, we were lucky in the end because of your support.
Although there are things can’t be totally revealed, I guess at this stage, some transparency can help to repair the image of the organisers. As such, I should be responsible to the fans (in regard to the concert in KL) because I m also part of the organising team. And another reason I m here at this blog is to communicate directly to the fans in KL especially.
Thank you and regards.

Hi All,
Just happen to find this site, and I thought I’ll share with everyone my experience. Manage to snag front row seats for Rain’s concert. It was awesome. Words can’t describe it. I went through heaps to get the front row seats and also the VVIP pass to his private party. Unfortunately no pictures were allowed. So it’s something I can only share from my memory.
He still looks as good as he does in pictures up close. Got to dance next to him, said Hi and shook his hand. That’s bout it, I felt a lil awkward being there, as I was alone. Anyhoo He’s really everything the press describes him to be and that moment, felt like a dream.
THUMBS up to a great concert in MALAYSIA. Love his previous one, It’s RAINING in Beijing, but this one ROCKS BIG TIME!!!

Goodday.
Dear all, i agree if one day rain’s fan can go together.
All my colleague said I’m out of my mind to go rain’s concert in sydney recently. Depart on Friday night and arrived Saturday morning and go to Acer stadium to collect the ticket was such an experienced because I have to wait until 3pm for the counter to be open. With such experience I think it will be great if we can get rain concert ticket for other venue from entertainment company in KL itself.
Aja! Aja!

There was this guy see.
He wasn’t very bright and he reached his adult life without ever having learned “the facts”.
Somehow, it gets to be his wedding day.
While he is walking down the isle, his father tugs his sleeve and says,
“Son, when you get to the hotel room…Call me”
Hours later he gets to the hotel room with his beautiful blushing bride and he calls his father,
“Dad, we are the hotel, what do I do?”
“O.K. Son, listen up, take off your clothes and get in the bed, then she should take off her clothes and get in the bed, if not help her. Then either way, ah, call me”
A few moments later…
“Dad we took off our clothes and we are in the bed, what do I do?”
O.K. Son, listen up. Move real close to her and she should move real close to you, and then… Ah, call me.”
A few moments later…
“DAD! WE TOOK OFF OUR CLOTHES, GOT IN THE BED AND MOVED REAL CLOSE, WHAT DO I DO???”
“O.K. Son, Listen up, this is the most important part. Stick the long part of your body into the place where she goes to the bathroom.”
A few moments later…
“Dad, I’ve got my foot in the toilet, what do I do?”
